The problem is, I think she's cute, the occassional other person tells me the same thing, then I go mom-crazy thinking she's the best thing since sliced bread. So, blame yourself. And me for creating such massive cuteness. And Ashlyn. She picked the song and the outfit. I just hit record.
When she gets to preschool, she's going to be the coolest kid around. Everone else will just know lame songs like the ABCs and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". Ameteurs. I see a parent-teacher conference in my future going something like this:
Teacher: Ashlyn is a smart girl, but she sings the strangest songs and dances like a crazy person.
Me: Yeah.
Teacher: I'm concerned that she's teaching the other children song lyrics like "She turned around, I gave that big booty a smack" that are inappropriate for the classroom. I'm sure you understand my concern about this.
Me: ::giggle giggle:: I understand your concern, but, dammit, she's just so darn cute.
Teacher: Seriously, she's not that cute.
Me: Oh, yeah?
Teacher: Yeah.
Me: Have you seen my blog lately?
(Disclaimer: As some one is on the teacher side of parent/teacher conferences, I'd never actually do that, I even feel badly just pretending, but whatever, she is cute.)
Here's the original version of the video (it takes me back to the 8th grade in a big way). It's "Peaches" by The Presidents of the United States of America.

Here's Ashlyn's rendition. Try not to die from the cuteness.

I think I wet my pants a little laughing so hard at this adorable video!!!! I miss my Ashlyn!!!
Oh my gosh, she is so funny. Elijah (ariel's son) used to rock out to Dave Matthews - they should get together :) maybe we can get together sometime - I'd really like that.
