Ashlyn's Cheater Guacamole

So, I had an in-the-kitchen revalation that sort of crushed my fragile cooking ego. I had Ashlyn help make the guacamole for our "fancy" Sunday dinner of soft tacos. Keep in mind she's two. Her guacamole was the best we've had in a long time. "Cheater Guac" was like the one thing I could claim to do well and she stole it! Now she's cuter than I am and a better guac chef!

Anyway, here's Ashlyn's guacamole recipe. Since she can only count to 5 and skips three and sometimes four, it's not especially precise, but it'll work.

Dump 2 ripe avacadoes (save the pit of one) into a small bowl (a cereal bowl will work). Mash with the back of a fork until only small chunks remain. (If the avacado is under-ripe, try a potato masher.)
Add three shakes of garlic powder, two liberal shakes of chili powder, a half a chopped Roma tomato, one toddler-hand-full of kosher salt, two or three shakes of dried onion (or 1/4 of a small onion, chopped). Stir.
Add a small dollop of sour cream for creaminess and a heaping tablespoon or two of salsa (that's the cheater part). Stir.
Enjoy. If there is any leftover, throw the saved pit in the bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Make sure the plastic sits directly on the guac. These two things prevent it from oxidizing and turning brown so quickly.
